KIDS OF UNIVERSE
Spanish group with international roots, born in 2022 in Alicante (Spain), as the fruit of the meeting between Peter and Jaime. They met at the end of the year 2022 and decided to join their passion to music creating their own style and sound.
The idea of combining classical, flamenco, pop, rock and jazz fusion styles resulted in the creation of a trio formed by Peter Universe (piano, compositions), Jaime Zaragoza (bass) and Gustavo Luna (drums). After several rehearsals, the band recorded 6 musical pieces in a live session at Sacramento studio in Alicante with a great spanish recording engineer Daniel Saiz.
The first musical piece, -Way to destiny-, was already published on streaming platform (Spotify, AppleMusic, Tidal) and is a pre-announcement of the whole album. Music video can be seen on youtube.
The group performs pieces of music that come from Cichocki Music‘s solo album (Ad Libitum) released in 2021 and 2023 (Spotify, iTunes, Youtube), and creates improvised music rich in piano sound, bass flavors and selective drums.
Their music has many colors because each musician comes from a different culture. You can hear influences from classical style, through jazz, flamenco to the solid epic sound.
Interesting Facts
In November 2023, the group took part in the Xchange Music Festival, held in Gran Alacant, Spain. Peter Universe was the one who came up with the name, got deeply involved and organized the technical facilities requested by Polish artist Andrzej Emoll Kowalczyk. Peter Universe invited Spanish music groups to participate in the event and took care of the promotion of this beneficial concert in the Spanish local media (Bom Radio Benidorm, Radio Alicante).
During the festival, many artists from Europe performed on stage, including: Wojtek Pliichowski Band, Kasia Stanek Electro Step, Andrzej Emoll Kowalczyk Zemollem Session, Wojtek Ezzat, Azman Starship, Sebastián Legovich, Kids of Universe and more great spanish artists between the others Dani Catala, Fredy Valera, Carlos Porcel. The concert was supported by SCORPIONS group with a project SCORPIONS BIG HEART.
More information about the charity idea behind you can find on dommuzyki.org website. The inventor and Board Chairman of The House of Music Association is polish artist, guitarist and songwirter Andrzej Emoll Kowalczyk.
In 2022 and 2023, Peter (Cichocki Music) presented his art with the band Pat Trio, among others at the festivals Alacant Desperta, The International Jazz Day in Alicante, The Funk, Blue Note in Calpe, Brisa del Mar en Gran Alacant where his music was very well received by the public. Currently the band performs under the name Kids of Universe.
There is a moment in the song where you go and decorate it with something new every time you play the piece of music. Playing the same flawless solos over and over again like others do is not my approach. Peter Universe
